Compromise agreements

We advise both employers and employees in respect of compromise agreements on a daily basis.

A compromise agreement has to meet various legal requirements if it is to effectively fulfil its main purpose – to create a valid and binding settlement of employment related claims. One of those requirements is that the employee must have received independent legal advice about the terms and effect of the agreement.
