Unbelievable Golfing Feat!

Gardner Leader’s Greg Humphreys and client Maurice Carvill, proprietor of MC Autos in Newbury, are marvelling in a miracle golfing feat.

The dynamic duo delivered two holes-in-one with consecutive shots on a never-to-be-forgotten golfing trip to Spain recently.

Mr Humphreys, Commercial Partner at Gardner Leader solicitors in Newbury, was on the Links Course at Emporda Golf Resort in Girona, Spain, with Mr Carvill when the million-to-one shots were made.

First to hit his ace on the 159m par-three sixth hole was Mr Carvill. But the drama wasn’t over there as Mr Humphreys then followed suit. Both used six irons.

Mr Humphreys said: “We were on the golf tour with DBs Golf Society of Donnington Grove Golf Club, Newbury, of which we are both members. Maurice was first to play and I followed. After he had played we were not sure that his ball had gone in, but when mine went in those around us went wild! That night we both had to buy many drinks in the bar for our fellow tourists.”

For a similar feat by two amateur women golfers at Moor Allerton Golf Club, Leeds, in April, William Hill quoted odds of 1,000,000-1 on consecutive holes-in-one.
