Gardner Leader advises on Yorkshire deal
Gardner Leader has advised Yorkshire & Humber Equity Fund, managed by YFM Venture Finance Limited, in the successful completion of a £200,000 investment in Williams of Harrogate Limited (which trades under the name Drivestyle). Drivestyle is using the funding to obtain two additional premium sports car franchises: Lotus and MG.
YFM investment director Mark Hunter led the investment and commented: “The introduction of two new franchises for Lotus and MG provides complementary first class sports cars. We are pleased to be of continued support to Steve Williams, working in partnership for the future growth and development of the company.”
Gardner Leader has acted for YFM on a number of investments in recent years. Partner Derek Rodgers, who led the team advising on the deal, said: “The good working relationship we have with the investment managers at YFM means that our knowledge of their requirements makes it easier to turn the investments round quickly.
