Environmental Committee

Here at Gardner Leader we strive to do as much as we can to help the environment, no matter how small or large it may be. In 2019, we started our first internal environmental group. The group is made up of a number of staff across the firm who get together to discuss what Gardner Leader can do to become more environmentally friendly and sustainable whilst also bringing awareness to environmental issues.

Our work has featured creating initiatives to use across the firm and in our day to day working, such as working towards making our offices a paperless environment. We have also supported local environmental community events such as the local sustainable market as well as seeking to promote local environmental businesses and projects like Thatcham Refillable, Posy Deodorants and the teracycle scheme.

We were delighted to announce we received the highest Gold CSR Accreditation status for our CSR work.

We are also pleased to be part of the Legal Sustainability Alliance who are leading the way in assisting law firms measure and manage their carbon emissions.

One of our most recent projects is the ‘GL Grow Your Own’ competition.

This is a competition featuring various categories from best sunflower to best fruit, vegetable and harvest box. This idea is encouraging our staff and our local contacts to home grow and discover what they can produce from their gardens rather than purchase at the supermarkets.
