On Sunday 1 July 2018, a team of over 20 Gardner Leader ladies donned their best pink t-shirts, put on their running trainers and took part in the Race For Life at Newbury Racecourse. The team raised an amazing £2000 in total for an extremely worthwhile cause.
It was a tough day for running, with the temperature reaching the high twenties but the team persevered and a spray of cold water towards the end of the course was more than welcomed!
Debbie Turner, Assistant in the Litigation team said “Taking part in the Race for Life in the heat was the least we could do to raise money. The work that Cancer Research UK does is so important and I like to think that we have made a difference.”
Well done to all those that participated!
