Long Term Care

It is important that when making your Will or thinking about your inheritance protection, you plan ahead in case your, or your partner or spouse, have to pay for long term care in the future.

We understand that many people would prefer to receive care in their own home, which is something most local authorities seek to achieve where possible. Where this is not feasible, due to the specific care requirements of an individual or the eligibility criteria of a local authority, it may be the case that you will need to be cared for in a home. We can inform you of the likely costs of staying in a Care Home, most of which charge on a weekly basis, and can advise you on making provision for those costs in a Will to best protect the value of your estate.

Our specialist Care Home team, who are members for Solicitors for the Elderly, have the knowledge and experience to work with you to help you plan your long term care. Please contact them to discuss your situation and find out more here
