Pre-Nuptial Agreements

If you are planning your marriage or civil partnership, then thinking about its potential future break-up will be the last thing on your mind.

However, making legal provision now can stop a difficult personal situation further down the line becoming an unnecessarily complicated and stressful legal one. A Pre-Nuptial Agreement sets out you and your partner’s agreement on the division of shared assets in the case of separation or divorce, avoiding long legal battles over them if the situation were to arise.

To have effect, the Agreement must be entered into at least 21 days before the marriage or civil partnership is made. If you are too late to make a valid Pre-Nuptial Agreement, there are alternatives which we are more than happy to discuss with you.
