Consuelo Suay is a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial Team.
Consuelo has considerable experience of advising businesses in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, business start-ups, restructuring, shareholder arrangements and exit, banking and re-financing projects, compliance and risk management, company secretarial and joint ventures.
Consuelo regularly acts for both international clients, from blue chip companies and banking institutions to large international and city firms, as well as local businesses on a broad range of corporate, commercial, banking and finance matters. In addition Consuelo has acted in multiple European jurisdictions, particularly in Germany, Belgium, Italy and Spain.
For over 12 years Consuelo worked in the Isle of Man advising on the formation of international collective investment schemes and undertaking fund review work, including setting up fund’s constitutional documents, drafting and reviewing offering memorandums and functionary service agreements.
Previously, Consuelo has acted in offshore trust matters under Spanish and EU legislation and has held in-house positions providing technical legal support across trust, corporate and commercial matters as well as managing tax investigations conducted by the Spanish tax authorities.
