October 2016 Employment Law Update

“Remember, as of 1st October 2016, the national minimum wage (NMW) for workers aged between 21 and 25 has risen to £6.95 per hour. The rate for workers aged 18 – 21 has risen to £5.55 per hour. The national living wage (NLW), the NMW for workers aged 25 or above, remains unaffected. Be aware that this is the last time to expect minimum wage hikes in the autumn. Future changes to the NMW and NLW will take place at the same time in April each year, from April 2017. “
