During the course of my working life, I have been asked many things. Let me share with you some of the more curious:
- Can we put a clause in the contract to ensure all the ghosts are removed on completion?
- I’ve just got the keys and moved in. Why have the sellers taken the toilet seats?
- I am not moving in, there are two dead flies on the lounge carpet. The property is infested. What should I do?
- I’ve just moved in and the seller has taken all the door knobs – the blue one the white one and the swirly blue and white one. How do I get them back?
- When will you be servicing my boiler?
Joking apart, moving house is a very serious business. You are selling and buying your most precious asset – your home.
The conveyancing process can be bewildering and full of jargon that is not easy to understand. Communication with your solicitor is key to proving you with the answers and reassurance you need as you navigate the process.
Communication comes in many different formats, and we are happy to deal with them all for you. There are times when a chat is best.
How can we help?
Here at Gardner Leader, we can unravel and explain to you in clear and concise language everything you need to know, making things easy to grasp. If issues arise, we can help you tackle these in plain English. Indeed, sometimes it is helpful just to talk to someone.
I love to talk, but most of all I like talking about conveyancing. It has been my life’s work, but please don’t ask me to help with your boiler.
If you need assistance with anything residential property related, Angela Badcock and the team will be able to help here.
