Lynsey is an experienced commercial litigator successfully representing clients over a broad range of commercial disputes including breaches of contract, injunctions, fraud and misrepresentation claims.
Lynsey specialises in handling franchise disputes and has acted for many well-known names in the franchising industry.
Lynsey has a strong focus on getting to know a client’s business to provide practical solutions. She often works with in-house Counsel and enjoys getting to understand a client’s business needs to advise them on a strategy that works best for them.
She was listed as a Recommended lawyer in the 2025 Legal 500 for both Commercial Litigation and Franchising. Lynsey was described as a “force to be reckoned with” in the Legal 500 2022 Guide for Franchising.
Work Highlights
- A & Others -v- Major High Street retailer [2017] High Court trial in a fraudulent misrepresentation claim. Settled confidentially after trial.
- Acting for a large gym chain on disputes with franchisees including claims for breach of contract and misrepresentation.
- Acting for a Respondent in an application by a Trustee to set aside transactions at undervalue/to defraud creditors. Successfully settled with a six figure payment to the client.
- Represented a Claimant franchisor of health clubs in High Court proceedings for breach of contract, specific performance and final declaratory (injunctive) relief.
- Acting for an alleged shadow director in a multi-million High Court fraud claim.
