Madia is a Trainee Solicitor in the Commercial team.
Madia joined Gardner Leader in 2018 working in the Residential Conveyancing team. Madia has completed the Legal Practice Course having achieved a Distinction and notably scoring amongst the highest marks in London of those who completed the Family Law assessment.
Madia studied at the University of Law, Bloomsbury and has a Masters in Law.
Madia is currently in the second seat of her training contract having undertaken a seat in Inheritance Protection. In her current seat Madia will be assisting Commercial Property, Employment and Corporate sub-teams.
Madia will be assisting the Commercial Property team with a range of commercial property matters including the sale and purchase of land, drafting and negotiating commercial leases and landlord & tenant matters.
Madia assisted the Inheritance Protection team with a range of probate matters including advising on wills and estates.
She has experience in drafting Codicils, both simple Wills and those with life interests and discretionary trusts and has also drafted Deeds of Variation. Madia drafted both types of Lasting Powers of Attorney and assisted with notices and registration for Enduring Powers of Attorney.
She also dealt with administration of estates, completed inheritance tax returns and made applications for Grants of Probate and Grants of Letters of Administration. Madia has also helped with more complicated matters such as domicile. Madia has experience with Trust work including dealing with retirement and appointment of trustees, completing Trust returns and drafting assents and transfers.
Madia has dealt with all element of post-exchange work including execution of documents, completion statements and relevant registrations. Madia has drafted stamp duty land tax returns, transfer deeds, declarations of trust and deeds of assignment.
