Christmas Charity Raffle
On 5 December 2025, Gardner Leader held its annual charitable Christmas Raffle at the firm’s Christmas party. This year the party was held at the De Vere Wokefield Estate and was organised by six of our very own trainee solicitors – Maddie Howson, Eugenia Stemitsioti, Lucy Humphreys, Marianne Packwood, Scarlett Armstrong-Harradine and Milo Brooks.
Colleagues at Gardner Leader generously bought enough tickets to raise £1,306 and thanks to Gardner Leader’s pledge, this will be matched by the Firm bringing the total to a grand £2,612 for our nominated charity, Prospect Hospice, in Swindon.
Prospect Hospice is a local charity providing tailored end-of-life care to people, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, they are proud to deliver their services to around 2,000 patients and their families every year, free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the community.
Gardner Leader and Prospect Hospice are very grateful to all the donor companies who kindly donated prizes, vouchers and experiences to enable the raffle to take place, and to all those who bought tickets to help raise the funds for this noble cause.
Words of thanks from Prospect Hospice
Prospect Hospice extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to those who kindly donated prizes, as well as those who bought tickets. To illustrate the impact of this fundraising, the £2,612 could provide one of the following:
- Fund a clinical nurse specialist for almost two weeks.
- Provide 12 night sits, helping patients stay in their own homes overnight while giving their families some much-needed rest.
- Provide 118 bereavement counselling sessions to support families through their toughest moments.
