Motoring Offences: Price & Service Information
As every case is different, we will discuss pricing with you once we have a clear picture of your needs. Our objective is to give you peace of mind. We aim to offer all our clients choices on pricing so that we can agree a price and a structure which suits you.
We offer advice and representation to individuals charged with summary motoring offences at the Magistrates’ Court including the following:
- Speeding
- Failing to nominate the identity of a driver
- Careless driving
- Drink/Drug driving
- Fail to provide a specimen of breath/blood
- No Insurance
- Driving otherwise in accordance of a license
- Using a mobile phone whilst driving
- Failing to stop at the scene of an accident
We ordinarily charge for our work at an hourly rate, however we can offer fixed fees for summary motoring matters that are dealt with in the Magistrates’ Court by way of a guilty plea at the first hearing. Fixed fees for this type of case will vary depending on factors such as the complexity level, the number of hearings involved and whether an expert report is needed.
Our fixed fee range for guilty pleas for summary motoring offences is as follows:
£1000.00 plus VAT (at 20%) – £4000 plus VAT (at 20%)
Please note that this fee range relates to a typical case (as described below), and we may not be able to offer a fixed fee for a highly complex matter. The fixed fee does not include the following costs which may arise:
- Expert/medical reports
- Counsel’s fees
- Travel costs to a court other than those local to one of our offices
Our fixed fee for a typical guilty plea case will include the following work:
- An initial meeting with you.
- Advice on the strength of the case against you.
- Advising you as to your plea.
- Advising you as to likely sentence.
- Preparation for the sentencing hearing.
- Attendance at and representation of you at the sentencing hearing.
- All travelling and waiting time at court.
We do not ordinarily offer fixed fee packages for the following types of case which are charged at our hourly rates:
- Not guilty pleas
- “Special reasons” arguments
- “Exceptional hardship” arguments
- “Newton hearings” (guilty pleas where there is a trial of the facts).

Stephen Bennett (Consultant) – Hourly rate £350.00 plus VAT (at 20%)
Phil Kouvaritakis (Associate) – Hourly rate £295.00 plus VAT (at 20%)
