Kerrie is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team, specialising in complex, high-value international commercial disputes.
She has experience across a broad range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, contentious insolvency matters, and injunctions. Kerrie also has significant experience in media disputes, including libel, slander, harassment and data privacy claims.
Kerrie acts for both claimants and defendants in proceedings before a variety of domestic courts and tribunals, with particular experience in the High Court (Kings Bench and Chancery divisions). She also has experience in appellate proceedings before the Court of Appeal. Kerrie’s experience includes all stages of proceedings, from large scale disclosure exercises up to trial, as well as costs proceedings and enforcement.
Work highlights:
- Obtaining an ex-parte injunction for a client against a Czech company in insolvency proceedings.
- Acting for two defendants to a libel claim and successfully applying to strike the claim out.
- Obtaining a costs award in the region of £500,000 following three days of detailed assessment.
- Acting for a group of defendants in a partnership dispute culminating in a four-week trial in the Business & Property Courts.
- Acting for the Appellants bringing an appeal in the Court of Appeal (Civil Division) which was heard over 4 days.
