Rabika is an Associate in the Employment Team and is based at the Maidenhead Office.
She qualified as a Solicitor in 2019 within a well-known trade union firm. Rabika joined Gardner Leader in March 2021 and has since received a promotion to Associate within the firm.
Rabika takes a pragmatic approach to situations and aims to provide clear and practical advice whilst appreciating the need to minimise risks for her clients.
Rabika is part of our HR Exchange and regularly assists in hosting alongside Julie Taylor and Michelle Bailey from People Essentials. The exchange brings together HR professionals to share ideas and experiences and consider topical employment issues. She also regularly produces employment articles for our website as well as for various external media channels.
Rabika has experience in dealing with a vast spectrum of employment issues, including dismissals, discrimination, wage/holiday pay and TUPE-related claims. She has a thorough understanding of litigation having dealt with single and multi-party matters at the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court.
Rabika also advises on non-contentious matters including grievance/appeal procedures, contracts of employment and settlement agreements.

- Assessing the options where action was proposed regarding a breach of restrictive covenants.
- Advising on prospects regarding potential constructive dismissal, unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.
- Drafting ET3 response.
- Advising on the application of TUPE to a business transfer and the associated procedures.
- Advising on capability procedures in accordance with the ACAS Code of Practice and the Companies’ own procedure in order to manage under-performing employees.
- Advice on procedure for obtaining consent to assess the medical condition of an absent employee.
- Advising on right to work requirements.
